Our Story

The Kurdish Advice Centre (KAC) carries with it a rich history of unwavering dedication to the Kurdish and Turkish-speaking communities, particularly in the vital mission of preventing homelessness. Our commitment to this cause is evident through our longstanding involvement in providing housing advice and support, spanning over two decades through Haringey’s various programs.

A crucial facet of our service revolves around the prevention of homelessness among our valued Turkish and Kurdish residents. We firmly believe that by offering a comprehensive range of services, we can empower our clients to become more self-sufficient and confident, ultimately leading to the preservation of their employment and the security of their homes.

At KAC, we take pride in offering our clients the following services:

  1. Caseworkers: Our dedicated caseworkers work closely with clients to provide tailored support and guidance, ensuring their unique needs and circumstances are addressed.
  2. Drop-In and Appointment Services: We are here for you throughout the week, with flexible options for walk-in assistance or scheduled appointments, ensuring accessibility and convenience for all.
  3. Social Activities: We recognize the importance of community and social well-being. That’s why we host social activities during the weekends, creating opportunities for connection and support.
  4. Telephone Enquiry Service: For those who can’t visit us in person, our telephone enquiry service ensures that assistance and information are just a call away.

In our commitment to the well-being of our community, all our staff members undergo enhanced DBS checks to guarantee your safety and security. Additionally, we have qualified mental health first aiders among our team who are ready to provide vital support to those facing challenging circumstances.
